Solid Ground....

I take the lines from the song of Marit Larsen - 'Solid Ground'..

Cannot fall, never do regret
Know just what is being said
Know the risk you take
Keep your head above it all
Sure you can fall
But not now you gotta prove
Something new, being you, being you

Can't feel, keep from asking why
Be the strongest at goodbyes
Know your place in life
Now expand your wings and fly
It reaches high but not,
Enough you seem to me
So incomplete, swept off your feet

And let me tell you they will always pull you down
Before you know it they will take your smile and push you around
They will fight and struggle
To blur and trouble
Your sense of solid ground

Cannot know, lose your self-control
Be and angel over all
Know your secret way
Laugh at everything they say
Will you remain the same?
And now you dare not see
What's letting go
Inside of me,is it me?

And they will always…

Keep your head above it all, sure you can fall
But not now you gotta prove

And they will always pull you down
Before you know it they will take your smile and push you around
They will haunt your every dream
They will make you come undone at the seams
And they will fight and struggle
To blur and trouble
Your sense of solid ground?

Keep your head above it all
Sure you can fall
But not now you gotta prove

Life is something where phases hault for a moment or two...and when u start getting use to it...it kick off badly...the ability to manage this particular situation is a best solution to life...but to those who are emotional folks like me...suffer most!

Tears will only make u reflect past and make u regret..instead of this try to clear the mess and move ,chase ,run for urself .Absorb ur pains ,fears so that u r not dependent on anybody.

The Biography of Black Light Burns

Los Angeles, California USA-based Black Light Burns is the new project from former Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland.

The group, with the debut album "Cruel Melody", brought many talented musicians together to create a very unique Alternative-Metal Industrial full-length disc; the studio version of the band consists of Borland on vocals+guitar, longtime Nine Inch Nails accomplice producer bass guitarist Danny Lohner, keyboardist Josh Eustis and drummer Josh Freese best known for his work with A Perfect Circle. The touring line-up features Borland, guitarist Nick Annis, bassist Sean Fetterman and drummer Marshall Kilpatric.

Now, what I liked is, this song, 'Cruel Melody'. Just have a look.Enjoy.

If I could paint your picture
I'd paint you as the sea
I'd let you become the tide

If I could fall into you
I'd let you swallow me
So I could see you from the inside

And it's a cruel melody
That you sing when I'm away
Trying to find where the sun shines
In a land that's turning gray
And it's a cruel memory
To look back on who we were
'cause my past is a poison
And I'll never find a cure

If I could break a promise
I'd tell 1000 lies
To have you look at me agains

But your heart is empty of me
I see it in your eyes
It wasn't meant for me to win

And it's a cruel melody
That you sing when I'm away
Trying to find where the sun shines
In a land that's turning gray
And it's a cruel memory

To look back on who we were
'cause my past is a poison
And I'll never find a cure

Take me away, I might as well be yours..

Agnee-The Fire within

Agnee -Arijit,Koko,Mohan

Its definitely the season of Pakistani imports. After bands like Strings,Jal,Fuzon there's nothing left fir Indian Audience to look upon. But, there is one such Indian band,Agnee. Agnee is the first Indian rock band to have seen a huge celebrated main stream release. The album can be best described as the perfect blend of contemporary musicians and traditional virtuosity.

The young trio (Arijit, Koko and Mohan) are full of energy and life. Formed a year back, it is a collective of three individual styles of composing and performing. Arijit with his Jazz-Rock influences, Koko with his Classic Rock, Pop and Indian influences and Mohan with his Carnatic and Hindustani classical influences.

This one's fresh from the oven and smells promising.I quiet liked there first album. In fact, in Roadies 5.0 Agnee has given the background score Ghar se hum chale ;where Raghu Ram (!!) makes the special appearance in his signature style.Quiet liked it.

But,one particular song that strikes my cord is here...I might have listened to this song for odd times at odd hours ! Just have a look at this song..Its a love-costipated piece of work .

Shaam Tanha Si Lage

Sabhi Se Hum Bekhabar

Phoolon Ke Rang Dhoomil

Lagne Lage Hain Sabhi

Yun Na Aayi Khamoshiyan

Muskurati Hain Shokhiyan

Sune Pal Hain Paheliyan

Chedti Hain Yeh Badliyan

Shaam Tanha Si Lage

Sabhi Se Hum Bekhabar

Ta Ra Ra Ta Ra…

Roothein Hain Naina, Mohe Na Chaina

Kya Haalat Hai Meri Main Kaise Kahoon

Tere Jaane Se, Tere Jaane Se

Main Adhoora Reh Gaya

Shaam Tanha Si Lage

Sabhi Se Hum Bekhabar

Phoolon Ke Rang Dhoomil

Lagne Lage Hain Sabhi

Yun Na Aayi Khamoshiyan

Muskurati Hain Shokhiyan

Sune Pal Hain Paheliyan

Chedti Hain Yeh Badliyan ..dil se

"Music is what feelings sound like." ~Author Unknown

I don't know at what age Music ,became my friend. The situation now is, I feel uneasy and completely frust if I don't listen to music. With age , my mood , my taste of music has changed.Earlier,I was too much intrested in romantic types. Then in later years, hard/rock/thrash music took my attention. In fact, there was a time when I was too much in myself that a song could very well relate to my life..I connect very well, even now. I owe music for my happiness and joy, that I carry.

But, a story can't complete without contradictions ,so my parents a few friends always asked me to listen to 'good' songs , ie. don't listen to Eminem or 50 cent etc ! But, how can you make boundaries for music!?! Ok.I gotto admit this, I've never attended a Rock Show before and it was kinda my dream to be a part of it someday.I remember ,when Michael Jackson came to India for his first concert in Mumbai how people ran from pillar to pillar for the tickets, my cousin's friend luckily got the passes and he had amazing time out there,he literally went all the way to Mumbai just to attend the concert. My age , must have been 11 years. Later, my love Bryan Adams ..ahhh! came to Bangalore ,some 3 years back and my parents just did'nt allowed and that cousin was the biiggest barrier! argh!

Anyway,by gones are bygones. In the recent years, Bhopal has got many Rock bands ,namely Roadation,Joshish,A to Z ,Inferno,Gravity and many others. And the band members are of the age group 15-28years . They play good but they need to work more,to achieve the perfection.

The National Institute Of Technology,Bhopal a.k.a MANIT recently had a Techfest Maffick '08, a cutlural event ,it had many events namely Manit Roadies1.0 ,Heart Abstract,Dance,Drama and this Rock SHow,being the centre of attraction.

Somehow, this time my sis and her friends decided to go for the Rock Show.Partially, because one of her classmate participating, they all wanted to go for cheering and dad also gave the persmission ,but time limit was 7:30pm. Trust me Rock band shows don;t start before darkness, they do some superb light settings to give you the feel of rock!At 7:15pm concert started in teh open air theater of MANIT.Girls being safely fenced in one section and guys were throw out to stand. The first band was MANIT's A to Z.They started with a soft number like Hotel California By Eagles.I wish if they'd tried in a much better way. They sang 4 songs.Later,Gravity played .Its better not to say anything and be numb!

And, then it was Inferno ,they played in Campus Rock Idol and they have a good package,in all. The singer came and started jumping crazily,he tried to connect with the engg junta who are the wrost hooters in the city!Trust me , they also admit this. I really liked the lead guitarist, amazing display of head banging.Cool Attitude, somewhere close to perfection. And, that gave me a bit of satisfaction that I came to a rock show.Though , I am still thirsty to taste the real magic of rock!

Hopefully, in near future i'll make it.Rock on!

Hindi wala Hariharan

Those who know me, they have the vary idea about my music likings too. I am very much passionate about music but I just loathe one particular type of singing and ie. Ghazals. I know, its shocking . But, I have a reason for disliking them. And, that is, Ghazals help you to mourn more! What has life given to us,good or bad , what is the sense in mourning for it? If you'r so bothered you would have done something to achieve that thing but taking help of soul-sterring words..really fails me to understand ,is the person real or fake? I am sorry to say this, but that's what I feel. And, I don't wait for a second more to change my track ,if at all ghazals do exist.

Woh..kehte hai na..jo hum nahi chahte wohi milta hai..? I am not either an execptional. At my home my dad and sis are biig time ghazal fans.My dad is so cruel at times ,that he drags me to ghazals nights with him and I've to play a wicked trick so that he throws me out. I remember one such ghazal night. It was Sunday, we were on a day out and later we went for dinner out.The hotel tried to entertain its customers with Sham-e-Ghazal.

As we entered inside, the ghazal singer sat in the dias and I screamed a loud.."Dad! we'r not going to eat here." Everybody looked around and my sis pinched me to keep shut , I argued .Mum came tried to convince ,finally daddy cool appeared and ordered/ warned, "Here and nowhere else, if you want to go out tommorrow ,just sit quietly" Yea..I agreed and beared, yelled etc .But, that night was good. I liked one ghazal out of 20 the singer sang. Chand andayi le raha hai... I never heard this ghazal before and neither after that but this was one, which really suited my situation and was an eternal bliss.

Recently, my dad has got a new collection of Hariharan. The Veteran singer. Frankly, speaking I like only a few of his songs. But, in Dadwood .Nothing works. He played Hariharan collection some 6-7 times a day. Subah utho..toh shaam ko novel padho toh, raat mein soo toh..hadh thi .

One entire day,I did'nt complain my dad about these new ghazal but he played them n number of times and for weeks I had to bear this. So, I quiet leanred a few ghazals too and like them also. Here are they:-

1.Maikade bandh kare laakh

maikade bandh kare laakh zamaanevaaleshahar
mein kam nahin aankhon se pilaanevaale

kaash mujhako lagaale tu kabhi sine se
meri tasavir ko sine se lagaanevaaleham

yaqin aapake vaadepe bhala kaise karein
aap haragiz nahin vaada nibhaanevaale

apane aibon pe nazar jinaki nahin hoti hain
aaina unako dikhaate hain zamaanevaale

2.Mujhe Phir wahi yaad ane lage hai...

Mujhe phir vahi yaad aane lage hai

mudhdaton gam pe gam uthaaye hain
tab kahin jaake musakuraaye hain

ek nigaah khuluus ki khaatir
zindagi bhar fareb khaaye hain

mujhe phir vahi yaad aane lage hain
jinhe bhuulane mein zamaane lage hain

suna hai hamein vah bhuulaane lage hain
to kya ham unhein yaad aane lage hain

yah kahana hai unase muhabbat hain mujhko
yah kahane mein unase zamaane lage hain

qayaamat yaqinan karib aa gayi hain
khumaar ab to masjid mein jaane lage hain
