Today morning was totally stange and different.I woke up late, which I usually don't.Did'nt liked the day,but was neither willing to sleep again. My head was in pain,as if a hangover.Tears started coming out of my eyes as I tried to sit alone. Something realized me..its second last day of BCL.I couldn't do anything ,but just cry.Cry for my best place, the place which taught me to grow up,to fight from life situation ,and there are many other uncountable things which I learned from this Library and the also from the people I met ,in this library ;staff or members, anybody. They have always given me a good reason to live my life again with optimism.
I remember the days, when I met my friends here.I never knew them, never met them before. But, our often meets is library made us really good friends. To set one example .I gotto mention about my trusted junior and friend Chaitanya. He was junior in school.I never met him in school. It was in library that we met for the first time.I was in 1st year and he entered Class11th. He was surrounded by all the kidos, who were trying to pull his leg badly.I enjoyed the gesture from these guys. And, the next thing chaitu did was ,to say"Arre yar dimak mat khao tum log (to kids) and then to me he said aap Aki ki sis ho na?" And, thats how we started talking, giigling ,going to eat pastries with all friends.
It was often in Library ,I use to reach sharp at 11 am .Beacause my college use to leave at 11am .And, ahving no other work at home.I tried to spent my time with books and knowledge stuff.I don't know, but books fascinates me! And, I love them.
Back to track, at times I use to reach a bit earlier ,before library opens. So,I happen to meet Swati. She was giving her 9th class examinations. And, very innocent and intelligent girl. We met various times, in the same situation.Thats, how we started.
Chaitu was 2 year senior to Swati .But, Chaitu is the last person on earth people woul dlike to consult for academics at least! Btw, he's an IITian now.Chaitu and I use to often chat ,coz we were from same school and my sis was his batchmate. We'd topics to talk about.Later, Swati use to join us and we all related very well with each other. We use to hang out together.laugh together! It was best of the best times.
Our Troika ,is really hurt with the disclosure coz this was the place we met , we spent good memories, lived our days.I am gonna miss all of them.
I met many senior members of the library who later became my good friends, one name I can't wait to tell is NKS .This man, is an editor. And, he has got immense knowledge in the field of literature, arts, painting.I owe him a treat for telling me all new things. But, our meets have been very tragic.A very very chivalrous man.
Coming to staff at BCL. I've been closer to Geetanjali Ma'm.She was like a mentor,a teacher,a role model.A strong lady with good sense of judgement, decision making, personality and of course her beautiful eyes and positive smile.
The second person was, Ashish Sir. A person dedicated towards his work.He hardly smiles. But, when he does, u gotto see that. An emotional person at heart, strict with rules and a truly a chauvinistic man.A good friend.
Third is Surabhi, she and I ,actually our troika .We use to crack jokes together and she was one optimistic of a kind,I bet U have never seen.Darling of all times. She got married off and left the job , before the closure news of bcl was spread.
Then comes Preeti. She came in place of Surabhi. And, we got close later but now we are good friends. She's a very down to earth girl.A simple girl who opposes things in a light manner.Had a good time with her.
And, the other men Raju Sir, Mahadev Sir, Chaturvedi Sir (Favourite of all ,in his white dress always, he has been serving BCL for past 42 years ,a man of strong character but he is also known for his high temper,he rules over the library!) and, last but not the least Lakshmi Sir. Words are really less to express the experince I gained from him and the support he gave me in my moves.A very good person and human.
Gonna miss all this, just don't know what 29th Feb would be like...?
